Carrying a little angel in a sling is truly convenient, but do you know the most important rules to ensure your baby’s safety? Tick the following key rules off your checklist and be ready to babywear the love with ISARA!

Airway. Ensure that fresh air can circulate freely around your little one’s face. When adjusting the panel of your baby carrier,  choose an appropriate height that enables the baby’s face to be visible at all times over the top edge of the panel. How do you know that you’ve adjusted the height of the panel properly? Check if the top edge of the panel reaches up to the nape of your baby’s neck.  Trust your heart and follow your instincts, mama! You’ve got this!

Body Positioning. Does the seat width support your baby’s legs in an ergonomically correct “M” shaped position, with the level of his bottom lower than the level of his knees, without slumping? When you’re adjusting your new baby carrier for the first time, adjust the width of the panel according to your little one’s leg span, supporting from knee to knee, always making sure that the width of the panel is not too wide. How can you notice if the width of the panel is too wide? If the bottom of the panel rests on your baby’s calves, instead of right under the bend of the knees, then you will have to narrow the base of the carrier. Ensure proper placement of your baby in the carrier, by placing your hands under your baby’s knees and lift them up gently, to successfully position your baby’s back in a pelvis tilted position.*Make sure your baby’s bottom is seated deeply in the panel and not on the carrier’s waistband. 

Comfortable. The carrier should be extremely comfortable for both you and your angel. Since you’ll be wearing your sweetheart every single day, your carrier has to suit your body size like a glove! Marine life

• Hawksbill Turtle

Hawksbill Turtles represent a vital link in marine life as they help maintain the health of coral reefs and seagrass beds by extracting sponges from crevices on the reef. Their beautiful colored shells are highly valuable and sought after in the illegal “tortoiseshell” markets, being turned into jewelry, souvenirs or other items, mainly for tourists.

• Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus)

The whale shark is the biggest shark that roams the oceans and its main food source is plankton. The health of our oceans depends on these gentle giants as they are a clear indication of abundant plankton across oceans.

• Giant Tortoise

The Giant Tortoise is the largest living tortoise in the world and it can only be found on the Galápagos Islands.

• Sea Lions

Sea Lions live in large colonies on the shores of Galápagos Islands and they exclusively breed here, on these beautiful Islands.

• Galapagos Penguin

Galapagos Penguins are the rarest penguin species in the world, and the only one found at the north of the equator, in the Galápagos.

• Fin Whale

The Fin Whale is the second largest mammal in the world, thus at the top of the food chain, playing a vital role in the health of marine life.  

• Sei Whale

Known as one of the fastest whales in the marine habitat, the Sei Whale has become majorly endangered due to commercial whaling.

• Vaquita

Vaquita is undeniably the rarest marine mammal in the world and is currently critically endangered. Imagine that there are as few as 30 Vaquitas left on our Planet due to illegal fishing operations. Just heartbreaking.

Wildlife

• Amur Leopard

Due to extensive poaching, Amur Leopards are currently listed as an endangered species, with approximately 84 individuals left in the temperate forests.

• Black Rhino

Did you know that rhinos are the oldest groups of mammals in the world?

Black Rhinos play a vital role in their habitat as they shape large portions of land, offering a better home for other species as well, such as elephants.

• Malayan Tiger

Tropical rainforests are the HOME of the Malayan Tiger. Due to massive deforestation, the Malayan Tiger is now more susceptible to poaching and it’s struggling to survive.

• Sumatran Elephant

Sumatran Elephants contribute to a healthy forest ecosystem as their main source of food consists of a large variety of plants. While they feed on plants they also carry and spread the seeds, contributing to the lush forest habitat.

• Saola

Did you know that Saola has been discovered recently in May 1992? They are so rare and vulnerable that protecting their habitat has become one of the greatest priorities for habitat conservation in the Annamite Mountains of Vietnam and Laos.

This full buckle adjustable carrier is a full wrap conversion in what we call baby size- can be used from birth up to… as long as your child wants to be carried in it or reaches 20kgs-biggest weight it has been tested for. It’s emerald green color is just perfect green, changes depending on the light and weather conditions (looks like a different carrier if you compare it on a sunny day and on a rainy day for example). Material is very soft and it feels silky on touch. It comes softly right out of the box, but with washing, it becomes even softer, including the waist belt- it softens a bit as well.

Even if declared to be used from birth, what should be taken into consideration is that not all babies are the same, so the time when baby can perfectly fit in V3 carrier is very individual. My baby’s birth weight was less than 3kgs so with 4 months old he was big and heavy as some babies are when they are one month old. Around that time he could perfectly fit in V3 Green (R)Evolution and we both love it as it is very comfortable. In these warm summer days, I find it the best to carry my boys in it, as bamboo seems to have a cooling effect when directly on the skin. 

Babywearing HAPPINESS

Before The ONE model came out, some caregivers minded hardness of the waist belt and 2-way system of tightening shoulder straps. To be honest, I prefer “the old” harder version of waist belt on Isara V3 and Isara Toddler models as I find them more comfortable, especially for back carries- it allows high back carrying without waist belt being bent at all. As a reference, I am 158cm tall and have 57kgs at the moment- the first time I tried Isara Toddler was when I had around 50kgs and it was comfortable even then, just like now. Regarding the shoulder straps tightening system, it is the same as on my first carrier Lenny Lamb in baby size, so I don’t find it difficult at all. I found the best way of tightening shoulder straps as shown in these photos.

Pulling shoulder strap towards down to bring all the extra length under my arm while pushing baby’s bum towards up with my other hand, then pulling shoulder strap away from my body towards the back and a bit towards down. I do the same when tightening the other shoulder strap.

One more thing I love about V3 Green (R)Evolution is that I can easily readjust it for my older son by loosening waist belt and spreading panel material on the widest setting for my toddler when it happens that he wants to be carried. He is 2years and 8 months old and still has great leg support as well as torso support, as the panel is deep enough to support him up to under his armpits. When carrying my older boy in this carrier, the only place where I can really feel that he is much heavier than my younger boy is my legs and feet.

When done with carrying, the easiest way to loosen shoulder straps is pushing the buckle with your thumb towards the front and down as shown in the photo below.

❤️ My name is Inês Leite Rocha, I’m from Portugal. For those who do not know me and never heard of me, I’m the creator of the website “Panos Viajantes”: http://www.panosviajantes.pt/.

   
The website “Panos Viajantes” aims to inform all Portuguese parents, but not only, about the Babywearing market, trying to provide the best possible information about the products tested through the opinion of real moms and dads that have tested those products. It’s also a point of reference for brands where they will have access to reviews and inputs, being able to perceive their acceptance in the market, showing the positive and the less favorable points. It is also possible to see on the website all our partners, baby carriers and trips organized by us, as well as reviews of these products.

You must be wondering what this has to do with ISARA right? Since ISARA is one of the most prestigious brands of babywearing, it’s undoubtedly present on our site. It was easy to get in touch with Diana, a very sweet and friendly person, who has always been available to help us. After some e-mail conversations, ISARA made a point of making itself known on our country and sent 3 products here so that about 30 mothers could try them out.

And about my experience with ISARA? I had already on my hands 5 different products, the “V3 Chic in Paris” buckle carrier, the “V3 Half Wrap Conversion Burgundivine” buckle carrier, the “Diamonda” woven wrap, the “Diamonda Blue Ink” ring sling and finally “The ONE”.

     How can I describe ISARA’s products? For me, they are TOP products, between the bests that I have tried. They are all very comfortable products, with great support and extremely beautiful. I remember experiencing “V3 Chic” shortly after being introduced to the babywearing world, to think that this buckle carrier had one of the most beautiful patterns I had ever seen, that it was very comfortable and I was anxious for my turn to try it out. Not at all disappointing, although I felt some difficulties with the first adjustments (it was the first time we used a buckle carrier), I found that the handles were extremely comfortable, that the belt was wide and hard enough not to curl or hurt. As I am an eternal lover of Paris, the city of love, I loved the fabric and the pattern.

The “V3 Burgundivine” buckle carrier, the Diamonda wrap and the Ring Sling arrived in my hands at an entirely different stage. At a stage of more experience, where adjustments were no longer a problem, and where I just wanted to enjoy every minute I had with them.

The buckle carrier was identical to the one I had previously tested, as for the wrap and the ring sling was love at first sight. When we hear about ISARA we automatically associate to buckle carriers and we do not remember at all that ISARA also makes other high-quality products.

Both the wrap and the ring sling are super comfortable, soft, with good support, easy to adjust and with a classic pattern. Great for any occasion, whether for a walk in the park, for a trip to the beach, to go get the kids to school or for a ceremony.

During the ISARA product travels by the mothers of Portugal, I received an invitation, which was not waiting for at all. I was invited to be ISARA’s ambassador in Portugal and proudly accepted, I accepted not only because it was a recognition that the “job” I am doing for Babywearing in Portugal is being positive, but also because I admire and believe in this brand.

The last piece that passed through my hands was “The One”, and I must say that if I had not been already fully surrendered, I would have fallen in love again with ISARA. Moreover,  ISARA’s logo contains 2 semi-circles. The green semi-circle portrays the back of a child in a sling while the pink semi-circle envisages a mother’s nurturing arms. We couldn’t have designed a cuter logo!!! It radiates pure bliss!
